Hide from the giant Stallu from Sápmi. Play the magic drum with the Japanese raccoon dogs. Search for human bones in the Mexican land of the dead. In the new Fairy Tale Worlds, young visitors are invited on a fairy-tale adventure filled with stories from around the globe. Thirteen different tales take children on a journey that entertains, frightens, and enchants.

The Museum of Ethnography’s new exhibition is aimed at children aged 5–9, but all ages are welcome—from babies and tweens to great-grandmothers. In a digital world, Fairy Tale Worlds offers an analogue and screen-free environment. Step into a universe where storytelling is at the center, a playful world filled with exciting characters. Fairy Tale Worlds also showcases 89 objects from the National Museums of World Culture’s collections.

With Fairy Tale Worlds, the Museum of Ethnography wants to spark children’s curiosity about the world and show how stories connect people across time and space.
