Conference & Events

The museum of Ethnography is located on Djurgården, a quiet and beautiful parkland area approximately 10 minutes from central Stockholm. With pieces from America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Oceania the museum is a place full of dreams, achievements and treasures from Swedish adventurers, merchants, collectors and scientists.

A kick-off at the museum of etnography

The museum have two conference rooms available for hire (both are wheelchair accessible), The Ida Trotzig Studio and the Hjalmar Stolpe Auditorium. During museum opening hours conference guests have access to the exhibitions for inspiration and relaxation. We have dedicated staff to help you from site visit, administration and pre-planning through to on-site management of the conference and event itself.

The Hjalmar Stolpe Auditorium

Area:  202 m2

This is the perfect space for seminars, presentations and smaller performances. The room seats up to 100 people in a theater-style seating, at the rear of the auditorium is a wall-mounted landing that can be used for additional seating for up to 50 people. The front section of the room can be furnished with tables for work-shops (maximum 60 people) upon request. Standard technical equipment is included in the price (ceiling-mounted projector, one screen, 4 wireless microphones, 2 headsets/2 handheld microphones).

Half day 10 000 SEK (no VAT)

Tuesday-Friday:
Full day 17 000 SEK (no VAT)
Half day 10 000 SEK (no VAT)

After opening hours: Additonal 1500 SEK per hour (security and personell)

Studio Ida Trotzig

Area: 90 m2

The Studio is perfect for smaller brainstorming sessions, seminars, presentations and board meetings or it can be used as a breakout room for bigger conferences held in the auditorium. Audiovisual equipment is included and the Studio is also equipped with a kitchenette and a private bathroom.

Half day 7 000 SEK (no VAT)

Tuesday-Friday:
Full day 7 000 SEK (no VAT)
Half day 4 500 SEK (no VAT)

After opening hours: Additonal 1500 SEK per hour (security and personell)
